A major 6.0 magnitude earthquake hit the South Atlantic Ocean on November 25, 2013, at 07:21:19 UTC, at a depth of 10 km, reported CSEM-EMSC.

168 major to great (6.0+) earthquakes hit various places over the last 302 days. Among these were 23 7.0+ and 2 8.1+ magnitude quakes. (Sources: CSEM-EMSC, Geoscience Australia, USGS, Pacific Tsunami Warning Center).

7.0 Great Earthquake Hits South Atlantic Ocean

A great 7.0 magnitude earthquake hit the South Atlantic Ocean on November 25, 2013, at 06:27:33 UTC, at a depth of 10 km (6.2 mi), reported USGS.

A tsunami bulletin was issued by the Pacific Tsunami Warning Center on November 25, 2013 at 0627z. A tsunami was not expected, although the areas affected are to take necessary precaution.
